Commissioned signature styles

Thank you for contacting us in regards to your styling needs. 

We appreciate that ordering a commission is very exciting, we deal with over 20 commissions each month per stylist, each one hand styled to perfection and we truly hope you enjoy your bespoke wig.

We aim to deliver outstanding service, we hope the below points help our customers understand the balance we need to achieve.

Our diary
It's a challenge to fit in commissions, however we enjoy being able to offer our customers signature styles in their favourite shades. We must book you in advance to secure a gap in the stylists schedules, your commission will begin on the week commencing the agreed date on your invoice request and you can usually expect to receive an update within 7-14 days after the commencement date. Unfortunately we cannot expedite the commission sooner, the stylist will begin work and aim to complete your commission as soon as they possibly can.

Confirming your commission
The deposit we request up front is to add you to our job queue, this is unfortunately non-refundable as your wig will  be removed from stock and prepared for the stylist. We never overbook to allow for cancellations and often we have to decline commissions and reduce availability of ready to wear styles to balance our diaries. Once a deposit is paid your commission is confirmed to the stylist, they are given your reference picture/s and the wig in your chosen shade and structure as advised during consultation. If a deposit isn't paid within 3 days we unfortunately will need to review the diary to book you a new space on the next available commencement date.

Reviewing the commission
We will send you pictures of your commission around 7-14 days after the commencement week. This is to show you it is in perfect condition for shipping, invoice the settlement and obtain your shipping information. As the stylist uses your reference pictures it will be accurate, however if in the unlikely event you wish to make an adjustment, this may be possible, however we will need to check with the stylist and revisions will cost an additional £25 per hour, which will be added to the settlement balance. Revisions can take up to 14 days depending on dairy availability. The settlement balance is required within 7 days of completion, if the settlement is not made timely the commission will be cancelled and unfortunately the deposit will be forfeited.

Settlement
The full settlement of your balance is required within 7 days of completion. The settlement is the remainder of the commission and wig fee plus shipping fees. All wigs are sent via Royal Mail and the costs are £8.95 within the UK, £15.95 within the EU and £29.95 for the rest of the world.  


Shipping
We will confirm your delivery details and send your tracking information once the shipment has left our studio. Usually UK orders arrive within 3 days, Europe 5-14 days and the rest of the world within 5-28 days, excluding non work days and public holidays. We unfortunately cannot control any delays once the item has left us and we strongly suggest all customers begin tracking the item through Royal Mail and their own countries mail providers websites after 7 days to check for any issues . For example if customs need to speak with you or if you missed a delivery attempt and the officer failed to post you a card. If the item is returned to us shipping fees will need to charged again. If shipping fees are unpaid, the cost of the wig will be forfeited. Wigs are sent in a double wall box on a poly head. However if the wig is being sent internationally and is larger than the carriers requirements, we may need to pack the wig however we will enclose a free collapsible wig stand for you to build and store your wig on. This is the only solution as if we ship in a larger box the carrier will refuse the package.

Import fees
If you live outside of the UK import fees will likely be added by your countries customs department. We do not have any control over this  or the fee amounts applied and we are not liable for them. Import fees are applied as standard when purchasing internationally. We strongly advise customers outside of the UK to search on their countries government website to calculate what fees may be applicable and do remember to check with your mail provider if they apply any fees for handling the fees. Fees will vary country to country and unfortunately we cannot give advice on them due to fluctuations.

Opening your wig

We package styled wigs in a way so they can not move too freely, but not be so tightly packed that is causes damage. Open the box with care and slowly lift the wig by holding the base of the poly head or internal packaging. Carefully remove all packaging and remember to check for any sharp tailor pins which are holding the wig to the poly head before wearing. You may need to 'fluff' the wig lightly to revive it depending on the style. Avoid brushing out any tease or pulling structural detail, any damaged during shipping will need to be claimed through your shipping carrier. Store in a cool dry place between wears and avoid getting wet. 

Returns
Unfortunately custom wigs cannot be returned to us for a refund as they are a bespoke products made to your specifications.

Force majeure 
We always do our very best to fulfil work we have accepted. However in the event of us needing to cancel commissions due to illness, accident or any other situation beyond our reasonable control, we will inform you as soon as we possibly can and refund your deposit. We will try our best to recommend an alternative stylist for you to approach.
